Textbooks - Print

The Library will purchase instructor-required casebooks, textbooks, and “selected statutes” for the Reserve collection.   This collection is not meant to be a substitute for a student’s personal-use copy; it is for emergency and incidental use.  We usually purchase 2 – 8 copies per title, depending on enrollment.

Textbooks - Electronic

The major legal-education textbook publishers have not offered an affordable library license for e-textbooks.  But as a “beginning of the semester” gap program, the Library does coordinate with West to make e-textbooks available the first weeks of the semester for students waiting for their print copy.

Bar Prep - Print

The Library will purchase BAR/BRI, PMBR, and other commercial bar prep materials in print when available for library purchase.  Unfortunately, because vendors do not want to undercut their market for bar review classes, they distribute materials as part of a “class tuition” charge.  We often acquire print materials by donation, after a student has passed the bar.
