Library Hours and Access

Library Hours

The library initially closed by Executive Order on March 16, 2020.  Though we have the Governor's approval to reopen on June 8th, we are still working on changes in our library to keep our community safe. Those changes will take a bit more time to complete, and, like other libraries, we will wait to reopen until our spaces are reconfigured to safely serve our community of users. The library will closed through the end of July.  We will have further hours information as we approach that time.

The reference desk will continue to provide service by email request.  Reference questions should be submitted via email at reference@law.msu.edu.  Please note that due to varied staff hours, the reference desk phone may not be available and email is the preferred method of communication.

Library Access

The library is currently closed.

If You Have Books Checked Out

If you have books checked out that were due after the library closed, your book due dates have been extended to June 30, 2020.  To return books, you can drop them off at the MSU Library Book Return on Red Cedar Road.  The drop boxes are on the north side of the road across from the football stadium.  You can drive up to these boxes, and a Google Map is available here.

If you are out of town or otherwise unable to return your books, please contact the reference desk via email.
